to the Great Weston Ride!

The GWR is a fabulous 57-mile challenge bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare that follows a spectacular route through the Mendips and across the Somerset Levels.

Suffice to say that the 2020 edition is certainly one that we won't forget in a hurry due to the protracted COVID situation and all its implications, however we were determined to rise to the challenge & not be beaten by the virus and, despite everything that was thrown at us, we're proud to say that we were still able to deliver a very safe, enjoyable, and successful event - to the extent that the GWR is actually now British Cycling's chosen case study nationally for how to achieve this.

So, because we refused to give in, 2021 will see the twelfth consecutive outing for the GWR and, having ably demonstrated our resilience & ability to rise to the most severe of challenges, we're now really looking forward to another great occasion where the combination of a spectacular route, lots of amazing support, and a whole bunch of lovely people on bikes will all add up to yet another fabulous cycling day out.

It was clear from most riders' reactions at the finish line in 2020 that they had a great time and felt a huge sense of achievement at having risen to the challenge that the GWR presents, and plans are well underway for more of the same in 2021 - and entry for the 2021 GWR is OPEN so just click on the button below if you'd like to go straight to the online entry page.

Or, if you'd like to know more about the GWR, please just explore the website - it should tell you all you need to know before you take the plunge!

It's most definitely a major 'must-do' cycling event for anyone who's willing to take on a personal challenge as part of a great day out, and we'd encourage everyone to read our 2020 Rider Comments for a riders'-eye view of the event.

And please feel free to JOIN OUR MAILING LIST to be kept up-to-date with all the latest news & information about the Ride.

The official professional photos from the 2020 GWR are still available to view & purchase, if you wish - just click on the photo below to be able to see all of the official images online.

We can't guarantee that everyone was captured but if you enter you three-digit rider number in the box on the top right you'll be able to check to see any photos that were taken (provided that you displayed your rider number properly & clearly on the front of your bike!) and hopefully you'll see something in there that you like! :)
