Your NHS Charity
We all know how incredibly lucky we are to have the NHS in the UK. But the NHS can’t cover everything, which is where Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (BWHC) comes in. Along with around 250 other NHS charities around the country, BWHC bridges the gap, providing responses to the challenges facing our hospitals. This helps our hospitals in Bristol and Weston achieve far more than if they relied on NHS funds alone.
And that's why we're calling on our participants to use their place in the Ride to raise money for BWHC - the entry fee effectively covers the cost of putting the event on, so it's the money you raise that will make a big difference.
Just to be absolutely clear, BWHC's funding doesn’t pay for the standard elements of NHS care like doctor’s salaries, basic hospital beds or essential scanners. Instead it's about the extra things that can make all the difference - so together with University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW), BWHC pushes the limits of what’s possible. They go above and beyond to transform the experiences patients have in our hospitals, wherever the need is greatest. And they are committed to helping our hospitals go that extra mile for you and everyone who means the world to you.

NB If you choose to fundraise purely 'offline' with the sponsorship form make sure that you DO contact BWHC (details below) to let them know and so that they can support you fully. They'll also need your contact details in order to be able to send out fundraising materials etc.
