Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life.  It supports men and provides vital information and services.  It finds answers by funding research into causes and treatments.  And it leads change, raising the profile of the disease and improving care.  Prostate Cancer UK believes that men deserve better.

As in 2011 and 2012, we are once again encouraging all Great Weston Ride participants to use their place in the event to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer UK.  To date, well over £40,000 has already been raised for the charity by people taking part in the Great Weston Ride, and of course we'd really like to see that figure go even higher in 2013.

And to encourage riders (and also to show its appreciation for your support), Prostate Cancer UK is offering sponsored riders TWO great incentives in 2013.  The charity has a brand new identity this year, and any rider who manages to raise £200 or more (excluding Gift Aid) in sponsorship will receive one of their brand new, VERY smart cycling jerseys (see below) completely FREE!

There will also be a free reflective waterproof rucksack cover for anyone who raises £100 or more, so any riders who pass the £200 mark will receive BOTH of these free gifts by way of thanks for their efforts!

And, last but not least, because 2013 is a really important year for the charity and we want to see as much support as possible we're offering riders an EXTRA incentive - anyone who supports the charity via the Great Weston Ride and raises JUST £50 (or more) will go into a draw to win FREE ENTRY FOR LIFE* to the Ride from 2014 onwards.

* All eligible riders' names will be entered into a draw and one name will be drawn at the end of August 2013.  The person whose name is selected will be entitled to free entry (non-transferable) to the Great Weston Ride every year that the event takes place.

The money you raise goes directly towards helping the Charity support men with prostate cancer and their families who are also affected.  It also funds essential research into improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Prostate Cancer UK will send you a fundraising pack including top fundraising tips, sponsorship forms, posters, and a form so that you can order promotional materials to help you with your fundraising.  If you select the online fundraising option you will automatically receive a fundraising pack in the post. If you would prefer to collect sponsorship offline please contact the Charity by emailing cycling@prostatecanceruk.org or phoning 020 8222 7158, in order to receive your pack.

NB If you choose to fundraise purely 'offline' make sure that you DO contact the Charity (contact details above) to let them know and so that they can support you fully.  The Charity also obviously needs contact details in order to be able to send out materials (inc. any incentives etc).  Online fundraisers will be contacted automatically.
