Welcome to the 2015 Great Weston Ride, a fabulous 56-mile challenge bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare that follows a spectacular route through the Mendips and across the Somerset Levels.

2015 Ride is over - another great day out!

SUNDAY 19th JULY 2015

Well what can we say? Amazing route, amazing people, amazing support, and an all-round amazing day out at the GWR! Again!

Great Weston Ride #6 took place under familiar sunny skies (was it ever really in doubt?!) and once again more people than ever were involved, either as Ride participants or as supporters on the day - making it certainly the biggest and, dare we say it, probably the best GWR to date.

Around 1,100 people entered this year, with many hundreds more yet again cheering all the riders across the finish line - all of which made for another fantastic day out.

Naturally, we want to thank all those lovely people (riders AND supporters) who participated so enthusiastically, and we'd also like to say a massive THANK YOU to our small army of very friendly and dedicated people who helped us to put on such a successful and enjoyable event - the marshals, medics, mechanics, helpers, service providers, and other partners who all contributed so much time and effort and without whom we simply couldn't do this!

We loved the day so we'll be doing it all over again in 2016 and more info will follow, and in the meantime we'll post further news and pictures here about the 2015 Ride as we get them.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed so much this year - it is HUGELY appreciated!
